weight lifters/runners/general athletes....what supplements do you use?(that work)

juice wouldnt help you much in this situation...you dont have enough time to see results plus that requires a lot of after-cycle care that you wont be able to do while in boot camp. so i suggest skipping the roids...
Creatine works by packing water into your muscles..this is generally healthy for you but in your situation you dont want extra water weight.
ECA stacks are good for getting lean but watch your heart rate. When i was in the Marines i they gave me shit about my heart rate being so high...this was from ECA.
If i had it to do all over again i would just drink plenty of water, supplement with a good mulitivitamin, drink 2 protein shakes a day. A delicious tasting whey is "Champion Whey" it comes in vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. The vanilla is awesome. Most important thing is to run run run. Run as much as you can while keeping your ankles and shins healthy. Also do drills like shuttle runs and plyometrics because that is a different kind of endurance that is also needed. I ran 3-5 miles in the morning and did plyometrics and stuff in the evening and i had a great time in Basic. While other guys were trying to catch their breath i was learning and trying to impress my DIs. Just work hard, have fun, do what you are told (and only what you are told) and dont be nervous. i forgot my weights part....i suggest basic movements with 4 sets each of 10-15 reps each. You are not training for maximum strength or size...you are training to be able to complete a heavy movement several times in a row. Thats what they will ask of you there. so leg press (squats may be too hard on your back if not done exactly perfect), bench press, shoulder work like military press, abs, and pullups pullups pullups.....see ya

Those who are saying suppliments are a waste of $$$, they're correct.
The best "proven" protein on the market (at least in the US) is called Isopur. Zero fat, Zero carbs. Pure protein.
For energy.......pure honey. Not the processed shit.....pure (it actually tastes better than the other stuff)
One spoon full, and you'll have all the energy you need.

Oh, and have sex/whack off LESS, great weight loss technique.

ok....so....

i apreciate all the advice and everything guys....but very few of you have given me anything i can actually use.


i take xenedrine. i drink whey protien shakes.....have been doing this for about a month already.

im not an idiot who doesnt know how to workout.....i wanted to know what you guys used that works...and what works for you in what way.


i already run three miles every day, then do situps and pushups. then i swim at least a half mile. and i lift weights on a good program, also i may roller blade and ride bike as well.....this is NOT what i asked about. i asked what supplements YOU TAKE and WHAT THEY DO.


oh yes, i also take a multivitamin, and try to eat skinless chicken breasts as much as possible....but im living with my parents until boot camp, and they eat for shit....again, diet isn't a part of my question....but it seems no one can give me a straight answer to a straight question


im not being ungrateful, its just that you guys have missed the point.

uhm some of my friends use this substance called T-Bomb II, it acts just like an anabolic, but it isnt, and its legal, it works really well, but they have very large mood swings and back acne. I just use Whey protein.

that dudes arms look fucking nasty. i am a skinny, muscless musician and i wouldnt trade my squirlley little body for that likes of that nasty muscle fuck for anything.

when i was in college i also was on this same road, working out hard 4 times a week, eating chicken and potatoes like a madman, drinking Joe Weider protein shakes and taking supplements---to be honest what works, is hard work and a healthy diet / lifestyle. period.

take roids or fake roids and youll risk getting fucked up , mood swings, acne, seen it happen to some of my old buddies. no thanks

aint that the guy who burst his biceps?

anyway i recommend anything from maximuscle.com although i dont know if they ship internationally but i have used cyclone from there, its great and giving you lean muscle with no weight gain or loss really, it also helps speed up the recovery process.

they also do a kinda of creatine premix which is good for increasing muscle weight called creatamax, its very effective but only if u do some serious training
