I just waent to see this movie and it FUCKING ROCKS!!!! I'm not even going to say anything about the plot because I don't have to. Usually they don't even make action moves this good but this one is just about the best movie I've seen all year and is better than the Batman Begins. This movie defines the meaning of the word "summer blockbuster". Amazing!
Where it doesn't fuck up is that it's a superhero film for adults, not kids. Most of the, including those insufferably shallow Spider Man movies, are for kids. This one, unlike the ones that Disney Corp. sellout whore Tim Burton made, is for grown ups and has a plot and covers issues that are aimed at adults. The audience clapped at the end of it. How often do you see that happen anymore? See it!! And no, don't wait for the DVD, you're going to need the theater to make the most of this one.
Dunno about the movie, but I'm really looking forward to the game!
Awesome movie. Great Action. Great Plot. Great Storyline. Great Acting. The only movie in my opinion that totally lived up to the hype and did not disappoint at all. Can't wait to see it again.
If it's that good, I might have to go check it out after a while. :P
Critics gave it an A- and most critics wouldnt take Ledger's death into account and give it a higher rating.

My kids want to see it tomorrow. I usually avoid movies where an actor has died before hand. The hype always seems to outweigh the movie.
just saw it today and was by far one of the best movies I have ever seen...Heath Ledger put on the performance of a lifetime!!!!!
Awesome movie!!! Like said before Ledger did an outstanding job!
Good movie..A must see! My only criticism is I don't think many of Heath's scenes hit the editing floor, I think this explains the length of the movie( 3 hours with previews).
They are definitely getting the most out of his unfortunate death.
Christian Bale is by far the best Batman!

the movie was def. 2hours and 15....2 and a half with previews. There was no way previews lasted 45 min (at my theatre they didn't, anyhow). Saw it at midnight the other day...best movie of the year...probably the best Comic Book movie ever. Ledger did a good job, its a shame he won't be aroudn to reprise the roll, and had he not died it probably would've been the defining roll for the rest of his career. Anyways, good movie...nay...great movie. Pluss, they premiered the Trailer for "Watchmen"...which will be teh best movie of next year.
I went in with super high expectations (see avatar)...and I wasn't even remotely disappointed, it was a fucking fantastic movie, I wanna see it again tonight, and I came!
Everyone (including me) in the 5 back rows clapped..
I'll put it in perspective, a hot blond girl beside me kept trying to strike up conversation..and I kept ignoring her for the movie...it's seriously that good.
The movie was awesome! Batman: DK is one of my fav. movies next to Batman Begins.. awesome director. Christian Bale and Heath Ledger did a grand job!

Great movie. Big, huge, super fan of Bale but I must admit his acting fell flat. Good thing Ledger and Aaron Eckhart made up for it. Seriously, I think that Aaron Eckhart needs to get more attention and praise for his job as two-face. 5/5 stars!
I saw it last week and it was incredible. I think that this was the best Batman movie yet. The actors and characters were spot-on. There have been very few characters that actually creeped me out, and Heath Ledger's Joker actually creeped me out. Well Done.
Sidenote, I think Christian Bale will be awesome in the upcoming Terminator that was previewed before Batman.

Nolan and Ledger nailed the Joker perfectly, so his death can be overlooked, it has little true bearing once you're watching. If you are a fan of the reinvented Miller/Moore/Loeb etc outlook of Batman and the Joker you will enjoy it. Ledger disappears into that role, very few actors can do that, like Day Lewis. Certainly not Jack Nicholson's Joker which seems laughable by comparison, although decent for its day. I love the Joker and I was skeptical at first, but I was completely blown away...
