The Big Ol' Fuckin' WBW Awards Update (Lots Of Info Inside - Will Continuously Be Updated)

This is where I'm going to keep everyone (that cares) updated on the progress of the awards. I'm getting things done as quickly as I possibly can.

So far, This is the list of awards that are closed for voting. If you missed 'em, I apologize - but you need to pay attention. Keeping track of all this is getting really fucking hard because of the search being useless.

If anyone finds any mistakes at any point, please PM me your feedback. Im doing the best I can with all this.

Next order of business is designing the awards themselves. I split the awards up between those who volunteered and just randomly handed them out in no particular order. Some fell in hands that I think they are well suited for, thats for sure.

Designing the awards will be: (note that some have two - hopefully you'll bear with me guys and knock out two of 'em)

Jack: Best Avatar, Biggest Bumblefuck.
Watty: Member of the Year, Most Missed Member
Dark: Mod of the Year, Worst Spoof.
Suckrates: Best Spoof, Best n00b Wrangler.
Southpaw: Most Entertaining Thread, Best Quote.
Ed: Most Useless Poster, Most Likely To Be A Homosexual.
Latino: Babe Poster Of The Year
Tickles: Best Internet Warrior
Piro: Spammer Of The Year
EricLindros: Best Forum Female
Akdizzle – Most Improved Poster
Devil6 – Most Annoying Forum Trend
Mikro – Most Disturbing Link
Jujubeez- Forum Celebrity Mascot

Alright, that should be all 20. I want to thank you all ahead of time for the work you'll be doing. You dont have to put hours into these designs, but a small amount of time and effort is much appreciated not only by me, but the person who you'll be handing the award off to.

Juju made a quick mockup of an example award, but dont take this by any means to be your template. Please use your imagination and create any kind of award you'd like. Im leaving all the freedom of design in your hands.

Alright.. as we near the final stages of the awards - I want to thank you all again for hanging in there with me.. and to all that nominated, designed or voted - thank you.

I will update this post (the original post) on a regular basis, so check back to know whats going on. This is mainly to stop those "where are the next voting threads?!?!?" pm's Ive been getting in mass on a daily basis.

Is there any estimated timeframe for when these are being handed out?. I know in the coming weeks i'll be really busy so i wanna know if i need to put something together now....or if i can slack off and throw something together the night before(like most assignments im givin )

If all goes well the rest of the voting will take up about two weeks. Then one week to get all the shit together.. So probably very early next month.

I'd probably guess - if you could get 'em in by the 1st of next month - that would be great.

cant wait for them all to be done though...should be goods with all the different tastes and skills..

Thats what I'm going for. I want everyone to be as involved as possible, so that it actually means something when someone wins.

Its decided by your peers on this forum, and the awards will be designed by them as well.

Its kinda dissapointing that a couple people here decided not to nominate or vote because they see it as "a popularity contest".

You know who you are.

I dont see it as that at all. Sure, every awards program has to do with someone voting for someone else - but I dont want to be the one to win a few of them.

Anyway, its all in fun. Thats what its meant to be, thats how it should be taken. Save your soapbox for something you should really be fighting against and just join in.

This is gonna rock.

Anyone calling an awards program of any sort "a popularity" contest is automatically a dumb fuck. How else do you think someone wins an award?

Because the popular fucking vote decides (for better or worse) who wins what. Of course its a god damn popularity contest - but not in the way that whiner would have you believe.

Some of those awards are ones that I wouldnt want to be popular in.

Simply put, just ignore his shit from now on. Not everyone is born with a sense of humor, and not everyone can have fun with something.

Well, I for one am looking forward to the ceremony. If I don't get tickets, can I be one of those guys who sits in the seats when someone goes to take a leak ?
