So.... I was watching the news!...yeah yeah I know...full of sensationalism and oh not a whole lot of news! But it seems...*gasp!*... the american people are disillusioned with the president AND congress!...NO WAY... just where would these news people get that idea? There is no chance that these politicians are more worried about getting re-elected than the country and the plebs like you and me..!!??

Here's a quick paragraph by our favorite astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson, head of the Hayden Planetarium in NY, when asked what he would do if he were president.
This guy is super smart and super charismatic. He doesn't get into politics, not that I've heard anyway, but he tends to lend great insight, from a scientific standpoint, on just about anything he touches. It's less than a page long and I would just like to add a "ditto" at the end of it.

Until we can get past our rhetoric and intelectual laziness trying to distill complicated socio-economic issues down to black and white we are headed to hell in a hand-basket.

ps. Keep religion, even the thinly disguised crap passing for alternative science in some states, out of our federal government. Faith is the opposite of knowledge or at least it is belief in the face of knowledge.

However, canada would be my next choice for a place to live outside of the U.S.. It would be the next best thing, after all I am from Minnesota ehh. I would fit right in.
