Just a pic I liked...I thought it was kinda neat.

I work for a company in the medical field and I have a decent job. I can't really describe in detail what I do because there are only a couple of companies that do what we do and it would be easy to figure out where I work. I'm sure there are some stalkerific nimrods who would try too. Anyways, a couple of months ago the company dropped a bomb on us. They are closing the office I work in and moving most of the operation to another city. One of us would be kept on the job in our town. People kept telling me I had nothing to worry about. Of course it would be me. However, no one could say for sure. I haven't been sleeping so well as you can imagine.

The reason we thought it would not affect us is we make tons of money for the company at very little cost. We are operating very efficiently.

I found out a few days ago that I still have my job. I feel pretty lucky. People all around me are losing their income and means supporting their families. Shit sucks and sucks bad.

Good luck to everyone in keeping their job or finding one if you need to.

I am in the same boat as Hydra as far as being able to describe my job in detail. In a nutshell - "Look I'm in a nutshell.."- I work for a premier racing/engineering firm designing prototype systems for several large racing teams and the Government.
My job is pretty dope...

That's the EXACT same thing I do but I don't try and fancy it up with words like Technologist, I just call myself a CAD slave. CAD is the most boring God awful program ever created. I thought it was slightly interesting at first but after a few y ears of staring at a black screen with colored lines all over for 8+ hours a day I'm totally over it. I've actually had CAD nightmares where the lines started forming little creatures and coming out of my monitor and running around the house. In the dream I wasn't worried about the creatures I was pissed cause they fucked up my drawing I spent hours working on. Weird. CAD makes you fuckin loopy. I gotta get outta the office more.

Chef and professional traveller - Used to work on the mega yacht's for the filthy rich but now i just work - Havnt travelled in a loooooooong time and it sucks ass (Settled down with age)!
