1. did you ever HAVE to wear uniforms for school?

Yea back in my private school days.

2. what kind of uniforms? (gym, everyday, sports etc)

Everyday. Also when in public school, I had to wear a gym uniform

3. do you think its a good idea for schools to make uniforms for everyday use compulsory? and why?

It can help kids get use to a suit so they wear it to interviews and on the job.

where i live public schools are not forced to make uniforms compulsory

2. what kind of uniforms? (gym, everyday, sports etc)
i had to wear uniforms ONLY for the sports teams i was part off and Gym class

3. do you think its a good idea for schools to make uniforms for everyday use compulsory? and why?
i think it should be here (they are in private schools, not public) it make it easier for parents on
what to buy their kids for school, so they dont ruin their best clothes in school etc...or worry about
their kids whinging about wanting what some other kid at school has

I never had to wear any uniforms, I just couldn't wear a shirt that said "Fuck You" or anything.

The only time we had specific clothes to wear was for Gym class, and for that we just had to change into some kind of a shitty t-shirt and a pair of shorts or sweats or whatever that you usually kept crumbled into a ball in the bottom of your locker for most of the week.

Either once a month or when the stench got too bad you swapped out a new pair of clothes, if you were like me. If you were like Vou (that's the fucking guy's first name) you didn't ever change that pair of clothes...in like four years of highschool and you ended up smelling like a bowl of fried asshole mircowaved for a few hours. Hopefully you weren't like Vou. If you were, I hate you and stop cheating at street hockey you fucker. It's a stick for hitting the ball on the floor, not for swinging around in the air like Excalibur.

1. did you ever HAVE to wear uniforms for school?
Nope,...well kinda, during gym and sports teams

2. what kind of uniforms? (gym, everyday, sports etc)
gym usually...luckily we got badass grey shirts and purple shorts, good job school

3. do you think its a good idea for schools to make uniforms for everyday use compulsory? and why?
I think it should be, I used to make fun of kids who dressed poorly and I kinda feel bad about it now..because sometimes people lack the knowledge and possibly money to dress nicely. People being socially retarded and getting made fun of is probably quite harsh, so I really do think it would level the playing field...especially for those who can't afford to dress pimperly.

I once got suspended for wearing a shirt that said "national pornographic"...it rocked.

i used to wear a cheerleading uniform when i was one a long while back

and of course every time we had a game, we were supposed to wear them to school to show our school pride and all, so i did.

i dont think school uniforms should be mandatory, its more hassel and headache than its worth in my opinion. plus i think its easy for us to stand over here and be able to say "oh yeah its a good idea" but kids hate that shit. people say its for kids to look alike and to help the ones with less money to feel better about themselves... but those kids with more money are still going to be wearing some ridiculously high priced sneakers, the girls are still going to be wearing really nice jewelry, and theyre going to be caring better cell phones and ipods then even WE do. plus on top of that it seems like all kids hate the uniform deal, no matter how much income your family has.

1. did you ever HAVE to wear uniforms for school?

yes.

2. what kind of uniforms? (gym, everyday, sports etc)

standard fair. no tie, though. looking back it was pretty casual compared to private schools.

3. do you think its a good idea for schools to make uniforms for everyday use compulsory? and why?

yes.

amongst other things kids may be pressured into wearing a certain brand which can get expensive real quick. if you can't afford, you're not cool etc...at school you don't need to be worrying about what you need to wear to be in the social clique. that's why compulsory uniforms are a good idea.

I had to wear a uniform the entire 12 years i was in school and hated every minute of it, but it did make things simple as far as what you were wearing...

My boys don't have to wear a uniform of any kind to school, they just can't wear anything thats has vulgar sayings on them ...

I do think that uniforms would be nicer just for the fact that you never have to worry that your kid is wearing something thats not as nice as someone else or thats out of style and being made fun of for it, plus it would be a lot easier on my girlfriend because she won't let the boys wear any shirt they own more than once every 2 weeks cuz she is afraid that people will think that we can't afford to buy our kids clothes

depends where you live i guess...here where i live, girls can not wear much jewellery except for ear rings..theyre not allowed cell phones or iPods in most schools here either. If they had to wear a school uniform, theyd be wearing black shoes with it, not sneakers....theyd only have to wear sneakers in Gym class....and im sure parents would be more able to buy those nice pair of sneakers for their child if they had to only buy them 1-2 a year since they didnt wear them all day every day.

thats just me i guess...it make it a hell of alot easier on parents wallets

1. Hell no! I'm happy Finland has some sort of freedom around.
2. None.
3. No, I don't think it's a good idea. Why should they limit the person itself, this world needs personalities. Army is the place to limit it.
