Reporting reposts!

I have two questions. The first one is for the pic mods and the second one is for all members who are active in the forum!

Question 1: I saw somebody posted a comment on of my pics saying "repost" and nothing more. Five minuts later it was gone. My question is; How much does it take for you to take down a pic in the gallery? Do one have to prove its a repost or do you just trust anybody who is able to spell the word "repost"?

Question 2: Why do people sometimes reply with just "repost" without any type of prove? Why don't people have the manners to post the link to the original thread? That way the original poster would have a chance of getting the credit they deserve! Its not like people repost on purpose.
I know the search funktion is out of work, but if the person who remembers the original thread can't find it, what are the chances of somebody else doing so?!

When I go through galleries the only way I will delete a picture is if I distinctly remember seeing it in the galleries before. Or if someone has posted where the other picture is in the gallery. I don't just go by someone posting the word repost.

Post the picture and I'll try and remember if I've seen it before or If I'm the one that deleted it from the gallery.

I just mentioned it as an example to back up my question. It wasn't directed at that specific pic.

knowing it's a repost and finding them in the djungle of wbw are two different things, dude

But what is the point of just typing the word "repost" besides getting that one point? It doesn't prove anything or help anybody!

Oh ok, well thats how I go about doing it.

Somebody (Sails ) already knows i try and post a link if i can.I am definitely with you on this one.

Although it isn't always easy to remember which post is which easpecially in the Nude section due to the sheer amount of posts.

Yup, that was the way I worked when I modded too.

also with the search function down its almost impossible to find the post that you know is out there somewhere

As far as how I delete reported pics in the galleries, if the picture reported as a repost looks quite familiar I'll delete it, as it's probably already in the database. I actually think that you're probably referring to the one lesbian picture...I'm certain I'd seen that in the galleries before but had actually left it there for a while. When someone posted 'repost' as the comment I couldn't let it squeak by anymore.

As far as the forums, I don't really even want to get into that. I feel that even if a thread is a repost it should be allowed to stay open unless the original posting of the pictures was only a short while ago...say a month at most. Reposts of pics older than that aren't a big deal to me, and should be left open for people to comment on. But I'm not a mod in any of the pic forums, so my opinion doesn't really matter.

It was actually such a pic. I trust that that you mods do a great work. Still I was hoping that it would take some sort of proff from ordinary members when reporting pics.

I agree with Sails here. Those bloody annoying single word "repost" comments just pisses you off.

i only report a picture as a repost if i definately know it is one..i've been here for a few years and remember a lot of the pictures i've seen on here. If I can find the link to the old picture I always include that also.

i will never report a picture as a repost.seen them once might wanta see them again.if not someone else does.what do we do here sell out someone for a point.you can have mine you can watch a video anywhere.

I do comments, and if i see a repost post....were are supposed to open the link, check out the pic and generally delete it. We dont require proof cause we go on the side of caution.
But i also check out the poster, if its a newish person, i generally delete THEIR post, if it really is a repost it will be reposted OR reported by another member, deleting that pic anyways.

And for the record, people that post the words REPOST in the comments, DO NOT get ANY points for it. You ONLY get points if you use the report feature in the pic and provide proof or a name, a name so we can search it and compare. Only then, will the reporter get a point. NOT by posting repost in the comments.

REPOST

The majority of the time if I am reporting a re-post, I link to the original.

I also post "repost" on the thread sometimes, so that if others have the link to it or know where it is they can help me find it.
