Question, Gamers...Controllers And Hand Comfort.

I have a friend who shall remain nameless...



He calls himself a "serious gamer" but happens to favor the X-BAAWWWKS THREE SIXTAY! He often complains when using the controller for the Playstation 3 that is hands hurt afterwards.

Is this common, have you ever experienced this? Hand shenanigans during gaming, do you favor the x-box due to supposedly more comfortable controller design?

Or, is it like I assume....

Tiny controller designed for tiny Japanese hands. Analog sticks placed as an afterthought in reaction to the Nintendo 64 controller. Build quality similar to that a cheap Chinese knock-off. Disintegrates if it falls more than five feet to the ground.



Near perfect sized controller designed for American/European hands. Analog sticks are top priority. Some of the top of the industry ergonomic designers. Exceptional build quality, weighty, feels solid, can take serious beating.

Its really a matter of preference. I find the Xbox controller to be way to bulky, and the layout to be uncomfortable.

Even though I have big hands, the ps3 controller is very comfortable for me even when i go 5-6 hours in a day.

Roughly like a Corolla and a Tundra. That PS3 controller takes up like half of your hand. On me it takes up barely a third.

I prefer the Xbox 360 controller over PS3's controller. I think Microsoft has catered their controllers to people who do not have small hands. Sony has catered to the controller market and theirs has good buttons and all but the distance between the analog sticks are way too close for anyone else but Asians. Look at where these companies are located.... Microsoft in the US, while Sony in Japan. So yes, I get the blisters on my thumbs.

I have now figured out why I prefer the XBox over the PS controller, and my older, yet shorter brother prefers the PS controller, simply because of the size difference, I'm not 12 so give me a controller that fits mah hands...

I thought it was a pretty classy touch..

360 controller is the best IMO. I prefer the sticks being offset, the face buttons are more responsive, and of course the 360 controller has real triggers.

The ps3 does have a better directional pad but nobody uses that anyway.

If that doesn't do it, you could always try out one of these crazy fucking things...
