Do NOT buy games you do not know how to set up, if there is the slightest doubt the game should not be bought. If you buy a game and you cant set up the router i WILL laugh at you, and so will everyone else playing Men of War - Assault Squad.

I'm sure someone here knows how to forward the ports without you having to spend $30 on a program that does it for you.

I don't know how to setup ANY game I buy. I can assume the process, but I do not KNOW it. Most of them have a fairly streamlined process, so one having a complex setup process is definitly out of the norm.

And about the "i WILL laugh at you" comment...so? Sigmer is one of our techier users, so if he has a problem setting it up, I would imagine so would most users.

I will say that this is generally true that the outside ports should be the same as the inside ports, but there are cases where you want to forward port x on the internet to port y on your PC to avoid conflicts. That is very unusual though.

Also, port 80 is an odd port to forward for a game. It is the standard port for http and is usually only forwarded when you have a web server running inside your protected zone. What you have just done is put your PC as the default handler for http requests from the internet. So if I can find your public IP, I can get into your PC http service using it.
