no worries - i'll get to work
Hey guys, before you get into it too much people don't read docs, they just don't. I've got plenty of experience in IT and it's a constant frustration to spend a lot of time on documentation only to have people not read it. One thing that helps is to have other people in forums who will help other users, something which we have a lot of here.
If you really want to do some documentation, having V5 and V6 screen shots of common tasks which have changed next to each other would be a fast way to do it, assuming that you have a V5 server you can hit, plus no localization headaches.
If you feel creative and just want to do a video, recording your screen and talking through the changes would be another fast way to get the changes outlined. You can embed a YouTube video in a post.
BTW - no matter what you do you'll piss someone off because (take your pick of these)
* The docs suck and are too hard to read.
* The docs are too hard to follow and poorly organized
* A video would have been better than written docs.
* The screen shots are not obvious where you took them from.
* You offended me by not localizing the doc / vid into my native tongue, Swahili.
* Videos take too long to watch, docs would have been better.
Great job on the site.
