This didn't work in the previous version too. Only when you click on the "preview message" button.

Yeah, they should have made a thread a couple months ago, asking for "testers" to try it out and give your opinion.

Oh wait, they did.

With movies, I greatly appreciate the numeric ratings rather than the less specific stars

Will look into it maybe I can include this in a quick fix! Thanks for your suggestion, it's a good one!

Well, it should in V6. It's frustrating to loose the entire message when switching to Advanced Mode in the middle of a reply because you can't remember all the emoticon codes and the emots are gone from the Quick Reply window.

Will see if I can include it in the next quickfix.

Maybe, a way to copy it over, or link the links, so the site doesn't have to go to a seperat link, if you know what I mean

IMO, it would be better just to put the emots back in the quick reply area. As I recall, adding the emots to Quick Reply was a very popular improvement in V5.

Will try to include it in the coming quickfix. Have already done some quickfixes

no worries - i'll get to work

Hey guys, before you get into it too much people don't read docs, they just don't. I've got plenty of experience in IT and it's a constant frustration to spend a lot of time on documentation only to have people not read it. One thing that helps is to have other people in forums who will help other users, something which we have a lot of here.

If you really want to do some documentation, having V5 and V6 screen shots of common tasks which have changed next to each other would be a fast way to do it, assuming that you have a V5 server you can hit, plus no localization headaches.

If you feel creative and just want to do a video, recording your screen and talking through the changes would be another fast way to get the changes outlined. You can embed a YouTube video in a post.

BTW - no matter what you do you'll piss someone off because (take your pick of these)

* The docs suck and are too hard to read.
* The docs are too hard to follow and poorly organized
* A video would have been better than written docs.
* The screen shots are not obvious where you took them from.
* You offended me by not localizing the doc / vid into my native tongue, Swahili.
* Videos take too long to watch, docs would have been better.

Great job on the site.

How much can the user customize their style sheet?

I see that we can switch from two styles, would it be possible to increase the amount that the user can modify some settings? For example I find that on the default style the red Post Number and User ID in the black bar separating two posts is too vivid, too contrasty. I'd like the ability to tone that down a little.

I totally agree. The "Babe Section" containing "subscriber only" shots are much blacker. The prior version had these shots also darkened, but you could see them somewhat (a great tease for anyone considering a paid subscription). \

I still can't see where the "emotions' can be displayed for adding to comments in the 'Babe' section.

There should be a one-time popup (similar to what's shown in the screencap below) that appears announcing or linking to related topics everytime maintenance is planned and/or significant changes to how the site works. If a user ignores it, or closes it without reading it, then at least WBW cannot be faulted for not announcing it properly. Neither the front page nor the Feedback forum are adequate for announcing changes in how the forum works because a lot of people don't bother with the front page, and no one goes into Feedback unless they already have a problem.

I dunno if it's just me, but the site feels much snappier then it was before.

I'm not thrilled with the new version. To be honest, it looks a little amateurish to me; like you took a step back. I can see what you were going for on some of it, but I don't like it. The problem being I have no say in it, so it does no good to bitch. I looked at the Beta version the oter day and I didn't think you were finished with it, ooops, guess I was wrong. Sorry to be so negative, just giving my opinion.

By the way, I do appreciate all the hard work you put into it though.

That seems to happen a lot. I have problems with the CSS document loading properly a lot of times on there. Usually a quick refresh or 3 will fix it. :P

Beta == Feature ready. You could have told us what you liked and disliked. Did you try the dark theme?

Will see if I can let the CSS load in a different way maybe the @import css way isn't really stable.

Okay I have the Goth theme, I mean, Black theme selected. I'll give it a whirl and let you know.
