I call bullshit, i don't see any exit wound splatter or blood spray on the walls. Considering the size of the pistol i am guessing a .45 cal trust me they make a lot bigger mess than that...

One way to cut down on overpopulation in the jail/prison system!

That's incredibly fucked up. Really disturbing.

Calling the Bullshit card..........Point blank even with a small calibre would have more splatter(the gas has to expand somewhere).

I have personally seen the results of that kind of shit ,,It is quite messy but not a drop here not on the walls floor or anywhere except his shirt where a blood cap would work.

Not to mention, they would never let him sit there uncuffed, with the door open. Nor would they have missed that.

As I am an officer, this video is used for training. The events that unfolded are true. Not a single officer frisked suspect Ricardo Alfonso Cerna (confusion among the three agencies that were involved with the arrest). Officers are human, just like everyone else, mistakes happen. Cerna shot shot Deputy Parham twice in the abdomen, during a foot chase. I don't think I can post links (post account restriction) just search Ricardo Alfonso Cerna. One last thing, movies and TV overdo suicides, which explains the reactions of people that don't know what a suicide looks like. Also, notice the officers calm reaction to it, which is normal for someone that has dealt with cases like this.

EDIT: yes, it isn't a common practice to leave a suspect out of handcuffs (especially one that shot an officer), but it does happen. The purpose of taking off the cuffs is so the suspect feels relaxed (interrogation technique).

He allegedly shot an officer and they give him water and call him "senor" and the accused says thank you, i highly doubt that there is going to be and manners after a situation like that. as far as experience i am a Marine and have worked with law enforcement since my time in the Marines. I have witnessed the damage of a .45 in many of situations which is why i carry one. Why did he not fall forward from the shot when he was clearly leaning forward? This looks more like something done to hide someone for witness relocation or some similar program.

Done a tad bit of research, the fact it was released to only a handful of reporters tells me this is bogus. something like that would have been kept under lock and key until after the investigation not shown to a "handful" of reporters

Bullets do all kinds of freaky things depending on bone density, angles, type of round used, things like that. I've heard of this kind of thing happening before, in reality no two bullets are alike so it is possible.

Another question is, why wouldn't the cops be calm and courteous? Why would they make they're jobs harder by provoking the suspect? I'm sure they just wanted to handle the situation as quickly as possible and be done with it.

45's are 45's they leave big holes and big messes ,like I said there would have been a lot of splatter and matter all over the wall and head wounds bleed profusely, no matter what bone density or bullet type.
