I have a Superbowl party to go to and need to bring a few sides dishes. Does anybody have any cool recipes that they are willing to share. I am particularly keen of hot (spicy) dishes.

Gucamole:

Get the good avacados (from Mexico: pictured below with the dimpled skin...banned in Florida and California)
Also get them a couple days early...depending upon their firmness. You don't want them really soft..but so they will indent with slight thumb pressure.

I say one medium avacado per person..if guests are pigs. One for every two people if not. (guac doesn't keep well though)

Prepare approx 1-2 hours before munching.

For each avacodo use approx

1 Tablespoon of cream cheese.
1/4 Teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
Dice approx 1/4 medium tomato
Dice approx 1 Heaping Tablespoon Onion

Mash together avacodos, cream cheese, salt and garlic powder until slightly creamy (add a little water if necessary). Add tomato and onion. Refrigerate for at least a half hour. Serve with chips

Enjoy....have fun
