Marriage/Single..Are You Happy, Or Waiting To Die?

Sorry if I was Captain Bringdown there. I should also add that she shows my son loads and loads of attention, and love, and the three of us have a great time when we are together.
Our relationship is the best it's been in 13 years, and it's pretty great now. There's just shit in the past I can't let go of. Stuff she does drives me crazy (leaves sharp thing EVERYWHERE!), and the fact that she totally ruined my shots at both teaching at a major art school, and taking my cartooning career into the real, never-have-to-worry-about-money-again, big time.

The wife and I have been married for 20 years, been together for 22. I have heard it said that to stay in a marriage takes work, but the way we see it is if you have to work at staying together there is something wrong and you really shouldn't be with that person. We also have an open relationship we both have had several little flings , she is also bi and we have had a few three ways and never had a problem. My wife is my best friend (and my fishing buddy which helps a lot).

I am technically married, but as of yesterday, she told me she is no longer happy and leaving after Christmas. GO figure...

last ex-wife (#4) was a closet gambler who gambled away everything i had. i should have suspected something but i didn't pay enough attention. she's over 6 years gone & i'm still stuggling from the effects of what she did to me.

it's not much fun being alone, but after that & the problems with the previous wives, i find it damn hard to trust a woman anymore.

so, i guess i'm happily single.

Last year his business cleared over $400k in profits, so i think he just like gold diggers...
