London Olympics 2012

Today it has finally arrived after 7 long years of waiting.

The 2012 Olympics in my home country.

What events are you looking most forward to seeing?

What sportsmen and women are you most looking forward to participating?

I'm sure a lot of people will be tuning in for the women's volleyball... that always seems to be popular

I always have a great time watching the Olympics

Marathon , all of the Track and Field and events and believe it or not the rowing are my favorites to watch.

As for events, idk...I think part of the fun of watching the games is watching events that you really don't care about until the Olympics roll around. Getting caught up in the fever. OMG....did you see so and so's performance in the 1K rowing event!! I mean, its cool that Michael Phelps is on the verge of doing something that no one has ever done in the history of the games, but seriously...who actually watches him while the games aren't on? But you can guarentee the world will be watching if he gets a chance to become the all time leader in medals.

I am waiting for 100m men and women, javelin, and hammer.. also women beach volley..

I didn't even know what curling was until the last winter Olympics. Then of course i was fucking around and decided to rent the Mario and Sonic winter Olympics game for the Wii and at that point i thought i was the fucking curling champ.... obviously so awesome at it on the Wii must mean i'd rock the shit out of it in real life.

Don't care about the olympics, really.

I guess I kind of like when they do the hockey, but everything else is just meh.

And Jenneke isn't even in the Olympics, so what the fuck?

Gutted I didn't get tickets for any events even though I bid for them. Would have loved to watch women's beach volleyball tournament

I dont care for anything related to track, rowing is gay.... Women's volleyball, and the water sports like michael phelps, diving, those are ok, and of course gymnastics is always by far the biggest event in summer Olympics. but Winter is much better, I am annoyed by all the track, who cares 100M or 200M or 400M it is just people running.... and there are far too many medals with the track nonsense, like hammer throw or javelin toss, no one wants to see that stuff and no one cares about it.

8 billion on a political ego trip... oh and london is THE most over-rated city in the world.

yeah watching one of our athlete try to do something that has never been done is a bad thing??? I dont know one straight guy that says I am going rowing with the boys this weekend
