One of my dogs is at the vet because she ate Tic-tacs with artificial sweetener.

Probably. She's not very bright, and tic-tacs are sweet and delicious.

Of course, the artificial sugar stuff is apparently absorbed by dogs very quickly, which causes a super-drop in blood sugar levels and things. Before she went, when put on the hardwood floor, she was like those cartoon dogs, where you see all four legs slide out from beneath them and they flop on their stomach.

But I think she's supposed to be ok now, like 1100 bucks later.


We need universal healthcare coverage for dogs, IMO.

interesting they call it being fixed. There is nothing medically wrong with the cat. I've had two vasectomies, so I can sympathize with the animal though.

Agreed. No one should have to go bankrupt just because their pets have addictions to delicious candies.

Have you considered pet insurance? Though I recall you saying in a debate once that you yourself don't have med insurance so it might be weird to get it for your dogs, but not you. My sister has it on her pun. That dog is all fucked up. Pugs are barely viable as pets.

That is my point. I had it done twice cause my shit worked too good. Get fixed? No, no. I had to get it surgically broken so that it would not work. I'd say the term "fixed" is ironic.

(technically it was done, undone, used, then done again)

Family Guy is doing this live stand up thing with Seth and Alex...and Alex was singing the song "Poker Face" as that deaf chick Marlee Matlin. Then she comes out at the end...it's all scripted and shit, but I still lol'd pretty heartily.

@Lindros: That really sucks about your dog, I'm sorry to hear it was so expensive as well. Our stupid dog once ate a bunch of rat poison, which sucked a bit.

She was okay though, until she died last year on my birthday.

My friend's dog just died a few weeks ago on his birthday. That is a total bitch.
