So...this weekend I'm going to a karaoke thing. I doubt I'll sing...but I might, since I'm great and such. Anyway, if you were going to sing some karaoke, what song would you likely pick?

Do you ever do the whole karaoke thing or nay?

Just curious...also:

lolwut...

I doubt I would ever sing karaoke but IF I did, it would probably be a Josh Turner song since my voice is so deep

i despise karaoke with a passion..
it makes perfectly normal people, think they can suddenly sing, and then sing one of their favourite song...which they trash and scare the people in the club for life..

You've got a point Latino, I've seen alot of people get up and think they can sing but they end up trashing the songs, I guess thats one reason I don't go to the bars when they have open mic night or karaoke night.

I do have to give them some credit though, atleast they have the balls to get up in front of however many people and "try" to sing, some people actually sound pretty good though.

I've been told that I can sing by numerous people that I have a good voice and that I can sing, I just don't have the guts or believe in myself enough to do it.

If I were you Honda I'd go for something classy...

Like Phantom of the Opera, George Jones...

...also make sure that you do it at a hip hop club..
...get back to me on how it goes.

Meat and I were at a karaoke bar one night and my friend and I put him up to do the Humpty Dance and Ice Ice Baby. A friend and I did Gangsta Paradise. We came out with a bunch of stuff that no one had heard in a long time. Kinda making fun of our own generation. It was fun.

When you go for fun it's cool, but I've seen people who base their whole life on it. The think they have this wonderful voice that the whole world is waiting to hear. Sad part is that 90% of the time, their talent is all in their head.

True words.
My sister and her husband actually run karaoke at a couple of bars here in Indy. People who are there for fun and sing fun stuff are the best...

...but I have seen people damn near come to blows ( and not the mouth on penis blows) over getting made fun of or not being able to sing their song because time ran out.

Yup. I've seen people cry, walk out or fight over comments about their "work" or someone booing.

Nope, in all fareness I have been a professional musician-singer-entertainer for 52 years. I do all my singing for pay, and tho I am 61 now, I still perform about 2 days a week as a one-man band.

Hmmm barely literate...Not hardly, since I have not 1 but 3 doctorates. I am not a medical doctor.

I have nothing against karaoke or people who are still striving for thie true mark in life. I have very little time for the BS in life, for it is non productive and for the most part, negative.

I simply enjoy life to the hilt, and work hard for it. Rock On!
