I switched from dsl modem to cable modem.How do i check to see my connection speed.

It depends on the cable and the DSL. Where I live, fastest reasonably priced DSL connections are 8Mbit, while fastest cable modem connections are 6Mbit (which can, in worst case, be shared with the whole block).

However, few years ago fastest ADSL connections were 2M and they cost like hell.

Yeah, the best DSL I can get where I live is 1MB.

Damn 8mbit.. soo much piracy.. if i had that..

i'm on 1.5.. recently upgraded from 56k w00t!

I have cable, slow compared to the T3 at work, but way better than the DSL around here.
