Is it just me or is anyone else noticing that it takes forever to load pics on Image Beaver.com

Another one bitching about a free service.

yea takes forever to load. i think longer than before. dont mind the ppl here. Im not sure ive ever seen a thread without someone lashing out.

Depends on the time. I finally got a real 256mb video card and 2GB of ram which make even Sikon's post open pretty darn fast.

Not angry, just totally baffled. I spent a few years living in the middle of East Kabumfuck nowhere. The only internet connection that was even possible was a 26k dial-up. You can't imagine how badly I wanted something even a little bit faster. And you're crying about how broadband cable sucks!! What is it 6 megs, maybe 8. I would have killed for that back in the 26k days!! I just don't get it.

I wasn't complaining, I was just stating that it was taking a little longer to upload there. Up until about 3 years ago, all I had was a 26k on dial up so I do know how bad it sucks.
As far as people complaining about having shitty cable/dsl connection, maybe the issues they have are not all related to the connection. They might just have an overloaded PC.

RCN totally sucks my speed tops at 7 down and 570 up. It's supposed to be 10+ down and 785-820 up. They have too many ppl on my node.

I had dialup 42k tops until 2005 when RCN finally got around and changed the one-way to two-way. I'm 98 ft too far for dsl even with relays/extenders.....

Btw---Rainbow couldn't you double the lines and get an ISDN line?
