ohh yeah i read a review about that board. it seemed pretty pimp, has all the bells and whistles. the raid 1.5 deal seemed pretty intriguing also. although the reviews of it didnt see that much performance benefits, still kinda cool.

yup . I have no need for raid as I'm lazy, but the other stuff is very interesting. looks cool if you have neon lights in your case and performance (other then the raid 1.5) is very good.

well, not really neon lights. more for the uv lights. i have two blue cathodes in my case currently along with a couple lighted fans. it helps it to light up my case through the window. although with the window cable management has become a pain in the ass

a window does make sure you tidy up your case . that's so cool about that mobo, comes with UV reactive rounded IDE cables. saves space and looks good

I still have my old rig (BTW: DO NOT buy a 200gig HDD, damn slow and NOT reliable. I think mine is almost dead...) and haven't bothered to check for a new one yet, also cus I'm still in the process of checking for a nice tv

anyway, about the HDD, I bought one a couple of months ago and am not satisfied with it at all. copying from partition to partition takes way longer then with my old HDD (5400 rpm, this one is 7200!), loading and seeking times are way off scale and the disk is already turning into scrap (had a couple of crashes yesterday and the day before tho it seems to be stable now once more). besides that, I think it only has a one year warranty aswell...
If this one dies, I'd might sell it to some idiot and buy 2 HDD's from about 120gigz in return.

the "lots of leds" burnt down my PSU, so IF there is going to be a pic of my pc - there aren't loads of leds in it.

some pretty cool rigs in here, seems like everyone is into the raid setups. wonder what "data" they're so concerned about keeping safe. or accessing faster. anyways, heres the obligatory box stats post:

I have a Gateway 2000 Pentium 75 with 888MB hd, 8+64MB RAM. And I got Win 95 and a multimedia keyboard! 28.8 modem. Booyah! You wouldn't believe how awesome Doom looks on my puter! And Descent is great!

Just being sarcastic... but I really do have this computer set up with the internet and everything so all my relatives' bastard kids can use it when they're over for the holidays and such. They think it's so cool. haha

It's funny to get on an old computer sometimes just to better appreciate what we have nowadays!

update: bought a venus 12 cooler, because it's silent and very original with the tree blades.
