I have never read so many stupid comments as that are on this thread. Do you actually believe that a plow can push the snow out or off of a street with having to unload/push it somewhere???
Use your friggin brains and think about it! And get off the computer and go shovel it....its just snow.

New Hate: Ricky_baby100. His post was horrible, yet he's complaining about horrible posts, and on top of that he's making suggestions that don't even make sense. It's as if he just read the big words in the post and zoned out after that. Boo to you sir. Boo to you.

I hate the entire population of Bedfordshire, Man Utd, anybody who's been on a "........... got Talent or X Factor' shows, the entire cast of 'Twight' and all their friends and family.....and also the bloke out of 'Knock up'

Some people think its BS. But they are the ones that don't shovel and take your spot for 2 weeks.

When major snowfall hits, and drivers spend hours in the bitter cold digging out their cars, many feel entitled to "hold" or "save" their spot by placing personal property, such as a chair or garbage can, where their car was, so that upon returning home, they can reclaim the parking spot they so painstakingly shoveled.

However, some cities have had it with the practice of calling "dibs" on a parking space on a public city street.

Chicago, Illinois, has decided that Streets & Sanitation workers will begin to remove items holding parking spaces if residents won't. According to the Chicago Tribune, "The practice is technically against the law because it's an obstruction of the public way, Streets and Sanitation spokesman Matt Smith said. But the department uses common sense in allowing the informal justice of dibs to hold sway in the side streets for a few days after major snowstorms."
Items spotted in Boston and Chicago include:

Garbage cans
Paint buckets
Chairs and benches (folding, rocking, computer chairs... even old armchairs!)
Children's playthings
Laundry hampers
Milk crates
Tables
Bottles of laundry detergent
Shovels
Clothesracks
Shopping carts

Advocates of saving spaces argue that the person who shoveled the spot is entitled to it, but opponents maintain that the public streets are citynot privateproperty. In a Boston.com online poll, the majority of respondents (42%) said that parking spaces are "public property, no one has the right to claim it." On the other end of the spectrum, 7% of respondents said that shoveling out a spot meant they could claim it "indefinitely."

Yup. Pittsburghers do this too. However, you gotta stick with the chair. Come on, paint buckets, laundry hampers? Really? Where's the class. I've seen la-z-boys before. Now that's class.

I was thinking earlier today that if I needed to save a spot like that in the city I need to find where those police get those "spike-strips" for high-speed chases. I'd just set it up in my shoveled out spot and woe be the dude who tries to steal that shit.

I hate douche-bag jerks like this guy who think they're allowed to post whatever they want. And when asked politely to stop, they behave like a little whiney oppressed 5 year old having a temper tantrum.

Kinda boring?

Obviously I'm joking a bit. I could do with less hate in the world...hate against our cultures, hate against our skin colors, hate against sexuality...for sure. But I don't think thats the kinda hate we're talking about here. We're talking about that random annoying hate...like people who can't drive in their lanes while going around a corner, or guy at the cable company that not only misses 1, 2, but even 3 appointments. That kind of hate is valid and just in my mind.

"Reality" TV shows like Jersey Shore and the latest Kardashian fame whore project. I really should make a better effort to watch such programs to properly criticize them but I can't seem to stomach them for more than 5 mins. Seriously, who is watching that crap for any purpose other than the same morbid curiousity that causes some people to slow down to peep at the carnage from a car accident?
