I'm sure you could just be honest with the girl and tell her you don't 'do' Valentine's Day, especially with a girl you describe as only been 'talking to'. Either she's fine with it, and perhaps she could join you on a fun night out at the strip joint, or she'll dislike you for it, in which case she's probably not the girl for you anyway.

Not much of a return on an investment at the strip club but it's a lot more fun than buying flowers.

I usually don't mind the whole Valentine's day deal if the girl is really into it. It's just that I haven't had one off in a while so I'm enjoying it.

It depends. If "talking" has included any fucking or dating, then I think you owe her an explanation. If you're just getting to know her, then while avoiding her may be a little rude, and you may risk her thinking you're a jerk, you don't owe her any special valentines celebration.

No it is not particularly evil but it is disgustingly uncreative and selfish. Take her to a strip club and buy her as many lap dances as she wants. Get the picture ?

No sexing yet. We've done the whole "hang-out/ get to know you thing" but I wouldn't say we're dating. Maybe Valentine strippers would be fun. Eh, for all I know she may have plans already.

It just seems kinda weird to me that you're like "here's 2 dollars to see your breasts for a few moments."

That being said, strippers can be quite hot. And I would not mind seeing them naked, were it not part of a business transaction.

A lot of the strip clubs here aren't the typical "girl dancing on stage with a group of lonely men staring at her" type of places. They're more like a lounge or nightclub type vibe. It's not uncommon for a large number of the clientele to be female. In a sense, it's kind of like going to a regular bar except there's naked chicks dancing on stages that you can give dollars to. I don't really frequent them because it still gets pretty expensive and I'm not the type to just blow large sums of money for no reason but every once in a blue moon it can be a good time. If you get a big group to go, it's fun. You buy the girls lap dances and everybody throws in for a VIP bottle or two and you have a good time.

It's like going to see a live-action cam girl, minus the dildoing, unless you go to a strip club in Mexico or the Philippines or something. And you've watched cam girls. So, sorta simliar, I think.

I have had so many good times in strip clubs in years past, particularly while on business travel. The creepiest ones are here in California where as Davey describes, it is a bunch of lonely guys salivating over a a dancer and the male help are all ex-cons. That is pure yuk. I like the strip clubs in the South best. Show me a strong religious community and I'll show you a great strip bar. Texas and Georgia seem to have the best ones. The clubs in Texas tend to be more community oriented.....at least in the sense that what business is not conducted at the company is conducted at the club. Really an amazing dynamic, where it's all hi and howdy with the drinks and every one is on a first name basis. I was quite blown away with the familiarity between customers and dancers and none of the leering shit that we have out here.

I should write a book on some of the weirdly wonderful side of strip club culture....too many stories to tell including the 365/24 strip club on the Texas highway from Corpus Christi to Rockport that has a bunch of cars in the parking lot at 3 am on Thanksgiving night....too weird and we had to stop and were treated to the once in a life time experience of a one armed pole dancer who....you'll just have to wait for the book.

I was not impressed with the clubs in Vegas. I went for a friend's bachelor party a few years back and I was expecting some grandiose experience. It was really disappointing. The good ones here open at 11 AM and close at 8 AM. It's strange walking out of a dimly lit strip club with no windows into the sunlight on a Saturday morning. Surprisingly, the ones in Broward county (Fort Lauderdale) are better than the ones in Dade (Miami). Although, I wouldn't consider either area a strong religious community.

I seriously hate Amazon Canada. What a pitiful excuse of a website.
