I'm the one that started the thread, and I asked for respectful answers, NOT your shit. I am not in any way interested in child porn, all I want is to try and do something about it, even though it won't be all of it.

I don't know why it's such a big deal for various reasons.

First of all, those "sites" are usually run in countries we have no juristiction over so they're going to continue their bullshit time and time again. Second of all, most of those sites are nothing more than spyware/adware/phishware orgies that will fuck up your computer beyond recognition.

If there is a site that's promoting such illegal things in plain view such as "kidass-dot-com" or "elementarybuttforum-dot-net" yes, contact the authorities.

But as for these "off links" most of them are run out of some turd world shithole who wants to fish for your credit card information and blow up your computer nine cents apart.

When I worked at an IT department of a college in Ohio we got these sorts of complaints and things all the time and it always turned out to be a site that wasn't pornographically "illegal" but just a site that would load up your computer with things to take what information you had in the ways of "four by four numerical groups" as in "credit cards".

I'd be angry about possible credit card number stealing because nailing an illegal site won't do anything...while your credit card numbers might be phished, you could be up shit creek.

Thanks, I know all of this, but I would still like to send it to someone that can look into it further. Even though it's just one site, thats just one more thats not on the internet. I dont have any credit card info on the computer so I dont have to worry about that, and I have run all of my programs to remove those type of things.

Thanks mistral and to the others with "respectful" comments unlike lil_winker. I'm suprised that with all of his negative comments he hasnt been banned from the site yet. I for one like many others I'm sure would love to hunt these bastards down and make them suffer, but apparently all we can do is report it somewhere and hope for the best.

here ya go, it's a child advocacy type forum...they allow you to report websites and they continuously take action on it until someone does something about it. You do have to make an account with them exactly like you did on WBW, but it's free and you obviously are angry enough to take the necessary steps.

Thank you very much Swiss, thats exactly the type of site I was looking for and yes I am "angry enough" to try and help do something about these sick people.

If anyone has anything else to add, feel free. I am going to check into the sites posted and whatever I am able to do or find out, I will update everyone (that cares).

you can report the site at fbi.gov they take these things seriously I have had the same thing happen to me and reported it there. Also Child porn is a federal offense and falls within the FBI's jurisdiction.

I have done that and reported it to the other sites posted here. I am also going to go to my local courthouse and try and find out more info on what steps I should take in reporting something like this instead of the way I did with this situation, because I definately don't want to risk getting into trouble for something I'm not doing.
