Kinda anxious to see how the snake bounty program work out. Hoping to some monsters removed.

I'm pretty sure it's still open season on pythons in the glades. Whether or not it's the epidemic that TV makes it out to be is up to debate though. Hunters and fishermen in Florida are instructed to keep and kill any pythons, snakeheads, or lion fish they catch. I've heard lion fish is quite tasty if you're balsy enough to try to clean one.

Snakeheads? I don't know, but if I were in charge of the FL game & wildlife organization I'd make you guys take the whole snake with you. Nobody wants to go out for a nice camp and come across some decapitated snake lying there all dead and rotting.

Lion fish however, are delicious. I mean absolutely yummy !!! In the Bahamas they are quite the delicacy.

After diving, and seeing the results from Lionfish stings first hand; you wouldn't catch me eating one.

The toxins are in the skin which is removed..etc. etc.

I know In the spines actually, but still....that toxin needs to be produced by some internal organ. Kinda like blowfish, you need to be very careful when cleaning it.
