It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defences. You build up this whole armour, for years, so nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...

You give them a piece of you. They don't ask for it. They do something dumb one day like kiss you, or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so a simple phrase like "maybe we should just be friends" or "how very perceptive" turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a body-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain.

So why do we love? It's easy. We love to know we are not alone. We love because sometimes there is a greater bond then friendship. We love because it makes us feel confident, it makes us feel safe, it makes us feel wanted. When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace.

When you find the person you love you can tell them anything, they will always listen. They will always be there for you night or day, nothing will ever be too much trouble. You can lean on them for support, you can trust them, you can talk to them.

Love is precious, it should not get thrown around. Deep down everyone knows if they have found love, if they have they should grab on to it, and never let go. True love is hard to find, lust is easy to find, but without true love, lust will only hurt you in the end.

How will you know if you have found true love? You'll know, because if you don't, its not true love.

Love is a promise, love is a souvenir, once given never forgotten, never let it disappear.

I feel that any love elevates you from the simple organism that your were born to be into something special and unique. One person's love can easily be anothers nightmare (cliche, but follow my point). I've felt love for all the people that are part of my life, in many ways they justify my existence. Sure I've been hurt, but usually it's the dishonesty that causes that. My advice, "Be as open and honest with everyone you meet, even the jerks. They'll expose themselves soon enough in which case disassociate with them asap, best not to waste your limited time. I thought I was in love. Apparently, I was. I overlooked her blemishes and her flaws, because I was in love. I wanted to marry her, I wanted to spend eternity with her. We'd been together over 3 years, it just seemed fair that we do that. She decided to end it one day. She said she wanted to find out what else is out there. After 3 months of kicking myself in the ass everyday, I finally got back into the game.

Im dating a girl, well I havent asked her out yet. The first time I went to her house was last weekend. I hope it all goes well. She's totally hot, great attitude and just a sweet chick to be with. I like her alot. The feelings I have when Im around her are the ones that I previously had. I could learn to love her

I think Im more in lust rather than in love right now, but give it time and we'll see what happens
