i think it's great

one dumb thing i just looked at the st louis arch in 3d and it was just a big cube


anyone know how to take pics of this stuff, maybe post where we are or where we'd like to be?

I use it, too, and it does kick ass. Have you tried just doing a print screen and cropping it?

There's a software forum, you know.


I've fucked around with it before. Not too shabby. From what I remember, it uses a lot of memory, but again, this was a while a ago, and I can't remember exactly.

i'm not too worried about the software aspects, just thought we could use it to show where we're all at or where we'd love to be, figured that's a lounge topic

a thread like this was made a while ago.....allthough a new one wouldnt hurt.

theres a function within google earth that allows you to save the screen as a JPG

google earth is alright, but you have to be from a city or from a highly populated area, if you want to check out turku in finland, it's just crap, but you can see the pigeon shit all over New York

I think it's pretty cool to interface with a GPS device
