girlfreinds son

I had a interesting talk with my girlfreind to night . She got home after being out for acouple of hours and had left her 13yr son home with some freinds . When she got home the house smelt like a combination of pot and air freashener and her son had cleaned out the cupboard of snacks . Whe she phoned I laughed my ass off . I suggested she send the freinds home and send her son to bed. But she said she had no proof.I lmao again , bad move .
What should I have said , 13yr boys are new territory to me . I'm sure we have all been on the other side , but dam now I have to be the parent

IMO, if she's willing to just say "I have no proof," she's as irresponsible as her friends. Run!

What I found was so funny was his attempt to cover it up . She is pissed and has told his dad allready , but were leaving for Vegas tomorrow and she dosen't want a big fight with him befor we go .
As far as pics of her , she's all for it , but worried she will be seen by co-workers

tell her u'll deal with it and have a joint with him tell him not to get caught next time...

Sugguest that if she needs proof that she should snoop through her sons shit while he's gone from the house for a couple of hours. She might find a stash or a pipe or bong or rolling papers. Once she finds something then she can confront him. That's where you need to start, help support her in a time of need before the boy turns to harsher narcotics.

I agree completely...little kids doing drugs isn't all that funny to me..

Smoking dope doesnt mean anyone will go on to do harder stuff!-- it depends on the personality!

i suppose its all down to the upbringing! some people might look upon a 13yr doing pot as a really bad thing, but after having spent my life being brought up on a council estate in the NE of england, i personally although can see the bad side from an age point of view, cant actually see it being all that bad as most kids his age are out on the street drinking and being brought home by the police(well in the UK anyways!). shit i had my first reefer at the age of 12.

it might sound daft but 13 isnt as young as it used to be........ infact putting drugs to one side, its not unheard of these days for a 13yr old to tart them selves up and go out on the town for a good night. 13 doesnt look or act as young as they did 10 - 20 years ago, whitch can be dangerous in some situations as most mentally dont grow as fast as they do physically.

all being said though 13 is way to young to be doing drugs, although i think your girlfriend has to count her self lucky to some degree. it could have been worse, it could have been a stronger drug or alcohol (shit im gonna take some stick on this one, to me alcohol is alot worse than cannibus, and yes i am a found supporter of the green and i am t total). yes cannibus might be an illegal drug, but on the grounds that yes it is worse than alcohol, whitch can be drank on private property legally in some countrys from the age of 5, where do we draw the line, obviously someone in the legal system got it wrong somewhere when it came to classifying some drugs.

but from a stoner point of view, a mother coming home to find an excessive use of air freshener being used, and the cupboard empty of munchies pritty funny come on, it could have been worse, she could have came home to a bunch of pissed kids and vomit, or to find the TV had been sold for crack habits. but no, they were smoking the dirty reefer and quite nastily laughing at some cartoon on the kids channel those young scally wags!

i do have a son, 11yr old just turned, and if i ever caught him drinking OR smoking before the age of 16 id have his life. although im really not sure id be as upset with pot as i would with alcohol as at the end of the day, most pot heads are just interested in good TV and munchies, where as drinkers havent got the slightest controll in any of there actions.

p.s sorry for any spelling, i know what i wanted to say but its early and the pot has corrupted my mind :O
