While I am in favor of punishing a child(teenagers included) for disobeying what they are told, this douche went entirely to far. The first swat or two would have been sufficient. And before any one of you even condemn me for that view look at the facts. Until society deemed it "damaging" to children's egos there were far fewer juvenile delinquents and crimes committed by juveniles. Now that children have no fear of reprisal for disobedience, there are many delinquents. They can not be punished but by "time-outs", loss of privileges, and other methods that teach them nothing about responsibility.

He is a dirty rotten bastard... there is no excuse for this type of punishment for using the internet or whatever, in my opinion this prick is a coward who would only be able to beat his daughter with a belt.. a pure a simple child abuser.

I watched the whole thing, not the news version. He was wrong in what he did............. but if she had just turned around and taken the swat on the ass, I think it would have been over. It seems to me that his rage was more about her disobedience than whatever she did on the computer. Oh sure, he was mad about the computer, but her refusal to put her ass in position for a swat seems to be what enraged him. Mom seemed pretty supportive of the punishment too.
