Do I have a keylogger on my computer?

Not all the time, but every now and then I can here an echo of typing noises coming from my computer, right after I type.

Usually it sounds like the same rythm, I guess, as I was just typing, is this a keylogger program running? Or just something wrong with the computer itself to be emulating the sounds of my typing right after I type?

Any know whats wrong? Have the same problem?

I went into my msconfig, I did a screen capture the one I have highlighted doesn't look right.

last one looks suspicious, i would remove the [v] in front of it and reboot if i was you. the other looks to be ok but remeber to run those tools

yea, i deselected it but I didn't restart because the trojan hunter is running. I suspected something for awhile, but didn't know what to look for my norton, spybot, and ad ware didn't pick anything up, but i know something isn't right

To be hornest, i some times helps my old man in hes computer store, and we often get computers that norton failet to protect, but run that SuperAntiSpyware also

Be aware that there might be some data in your regestry that adds that unwanted program again, do you got a reg cleaner? if yes, run it when you are done with the tools (this should be the last step you make). Also cleaning your TEMP folders is a good idea, CCleaner can help you with this : http://www.ccleaner.com

I do run ccleaner alot, the trojan hunter found 2 trojan files so far, with 5 objects

When i restarted the comp. an error message came up saying it could not find the boxed file, the one at the end of my screen capture, i downloaded the reg cleaner also not sure what to delete though.

running the superspyware now, and then ill run the ccleaner

You might want to download hijackthis http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/index.php and see what really starts up with your computer. It's more thorough than using the msconfig.

Generally keyloggers don't leave traces of its startup (e.g. Ardamax, Spytector) and are not always detected by virus scanners.

Once you've gotten a log from hijackthis, post it to a log analyzer site and see what turns up. Hope that helps.

in Hijackthis it allows you to find info on selected item before you delete it. then google the item to make sure its something safe to delete.

http://housecall65.trendmicro.com Thats a free malware/virus scanner provided by trend micro. It will find and delete whatever malware you have as well as provide you with information about missing updates from microsoft. Just allow the ActiveX control to run, and click next till you can click Full system scan. Then just let it run, when it finishes it will display a list of all things that are funky on your computer. click delete and it takes care of it for you. again its http://housecall65.trendmicro.com
