Damn Trees

Ok, nevermind the date on these pics. It's my moms camera and she has yet to get the date correct.

Anyways, there is a poplar tree beside our porch, well, there used to be, let's put it that way.

This morning, it decided it didn't want to hang out any longer. Poor me. Poor house. Im pissed by the way.

Guess that answers your question from the other thread. I had lightning strike a tree in the back yard once. That wasn't too bad. The tree was far enough from the house that it just dug up the ground and I chopped it up for firewood myself... made some money. The bad part was that the second lightning strike (same storm) hit my heat pump. Freakin' 4Gs. Sucked a$$ man. Luckily insurance caught part of it. Hope it all turns out alright for ya. This isn't from that stuff that hit KY/IN is it?

Naw, this tree was just OLD and ROTTED. Hopefully, homeowners insurance will kick in and pay for it. Maybe I can get some new paint and repaint the house too.

O well, 12 hour shifts sucks.

Anyways, update for ya. Contractor is coming tomorrow to start rippin away porch and to rebuild a new one. Also, he's gonna make repairs to vinyl siding and put new gutters up. Might get him to do a few other things to while he's here. Im a lazy bastard.
