Command & Conquer: the first decade

I just got me this DVD from EA last week.
It's a neat pack with a poster from a tank on one side and an ion cannon on the other (which I could care less for), a bonus DVD which I haven't checked out yet, a booklet with the basics, and the Command & Conquer games in a great looking box.
It has ALL the C&C games (and I DO mean ALL) from the series, containing 12 games and addons from the original Command & Conquer (which runs under Windows XP now ) up to Generals Zero Hour. I've started with the original game last night and it SO owns meh freetime
It's out for only 30 Euro's so it's rather cheap too.

man i used to play c&c for my life, but halted at generals coz my computer couldnt handle it, since this whole pak is out i mihgt actually consider getting it

it's been surpassed in terms of quality and gameplay...but i think i might pick up the collection for the nostalgia. Red Alert was the first game i bought for first computer

I've played that alot! I think I have played them all, except zero hour. Had one on playstation which I can't remember though. Something with Nod and Alliance if I remember correct. I don't like the new General ones very much though. I preffer Red Alert 2 and Yuris Revenge.

I heared of this box. A friend of mine bought it, but he complained about the not working LAN mode. Can you
approve it?

well it does need a patch. when playing the first C&C I do get crashes from time to time. not for any specific reason, my rig is able to play any game on that disc.
still, it crashes. I'm waiting for a patch, and in the meantime continue with Red Alert 1 . lot's of other games you can play hehehe
I haven't been able to check the LAN mode yet but if it's not working, I'm assuming a patch could fix that.

Still, it's a game-collection I can recommend. loads of hours of fun and when that patch will be out (I'm assuming they're working on it...) it will be even MORE fun!

the original Warcraft was greatness. so was Warcraft II but the first C&C owned me for quite some time. I still play Generals Z.H. to this day. Love that stuff.

Yes, Warcraft I+II rocked. But the third part was quite good as well. Especially the multiplayer mode!
@CK, if there is a patch some day I might buy the C&C-Box too

I just read on the EA forums that they're working on a patch. some ppl even have more problems then I'm having. seems EA has been pushing this game out far too quickly and only now is really addressing problems.
I wonder when the patch will be available.

btw, I also noticed a good explanation for the LAN play for several of the games. I'll see if I can dig it up again.

That's quite foolish of EA, releasing such an incomplete game.
Anyway I hope there will be a patch soon which fixes all the
problems you have @CK

Yeah all of them addicted me at one point or another. They got it perfected with Generals though. The only thing i didn't like were the stereotypical sound bites for the units.

I got the entire CC game pack for Christmas, brought back great memories, I love it!

c&c and warcraft 2. and doom2... those were the days

Gotta say im lovin Zero Hour at the min. Any1 fancy a game?

i was a child of the C&C generation, wasted many a day playing them. Whats the latest on new releases anybody know.
