I have tried everything i know and my browser is still not updateting ,iv cleared cache ,history and have upgraded my browser and java machine with java sun...

Is there anything else i could try???

The prob is i have two dialup numbers if i use the one i go to wbw and the pages never update with new content so im always viewing the same stuff if i dial with the 2nd number the pages are updated but when i go from lets say babe gallery to forum then back it doesnt update the info this is pretty weired and its been like this for 3days ,,,it sometimes works when i clear all internet settings and then restart but only for awhile.....

you should leave the cache that helps your pages load faster on your slow connection. You should look at the options for when the browser fetches the pages for you. You should change it to 'every visit to page'. I assume your on winblows using Internet Exploder. Another option is to try a different browser. Im willing to bet the problem is lrelated to your connection more so than the browser. Try changing those setting and see how it goes.

i have done all that and it still not working , im on a isdn line which is quite fast , what other browsers are out there that are worth a try

well you said dialup before not ISDN so my apologies. Are you using a proxy server? If your not have you tried using one? THere are many other browsers available I would suggest using google. Here are some suggestions... Firefox, Opera, Netscape, Avant, Mozilla to name a few. I run avant in windows, Firefox in linux, and Safari in OSX.

A proxy server basically acts like a client for a user mainly within a business. Almost like a middle man. A user will send a request to the internet which the proxy server will receive. It will then look within its own cache to try and relate the request... otherwise it will send the request on using its own IP address. (Depending on whether the request gets through the defined filters).

They generally give security, admin and caching abilities. It seperates the user from an outside network. All users can make use of the same cache which is also handy.

You can get a few different types of proxy's, but mainly now they come with a combined firewall.

Oh and I'm pretty sure you still need to dial out when using ISDN dirtyuser.
