Best Games EVER!

so yea, about to play an age-old game called Fallout; anybody remember games like this?
and can anyone explain how these nostalgic games continue to return to our lives to the point where we must obtain another copy and begin playing again?

I mean for cryin out loud, just the other day I had to play FFVII because I'd seen the new movie and game in a game magazine. Not that I'm saying any of that is bad, but where do these urges come from?

Just another rant, bored and curious...

Yup I can totally relate to that! I´ve played the FF-series (amoung many others) over and over and over... I guess it´s because of the fact that they all have great storylines..

One of my favorite old games is this castle battle game I foget what it is called. But you shoot out the walls of an enemy castle and after a round you can repair your walls. You can place additional cannons in your castle but you must keep the castle always closed with no holes in the walls. the beggening of each round goes "READY AIM FIRE". It is an old game. It is so fucking fun though. any one know the name of that one?

@mastershake1, I only know the "german" titel of this game. It's called "Ballerburg". Later on you can built a magician tower etc. , can't you? About 4years ago i played it sometimes. It was a lot of fun...

I just played FFVII again a couple of weeks ago. I've also been looking for a copy of the first MGS, which I haven't played in a long time.

The castle game was called Rampart, I believe.
For me the best game: Baldur´s Gate, 1 and 2.

quite a few years ago i played a game called stonekeep, not played it for about 7 or 8 years but from memory it is still one of the best games i played. if you can get your hands on it play it.

any resident evil my friends....(except the crappy ones)

i used to play re1 for ps all the time.... used to be one of my favorite games.... right along with parasite eve1&2

Favourite games of all time for me would be the resident evil series (survivor and gaeden (i think it is?) excluded), the series has gripped me since resident evil 1 until now, and they are all just awesome games. I even have the series of novels and OST's ect *shifty eyes*. Following this series would have to be FF7 and FF10, both awesome games. Finally the MGS series are up there somewhere as well.

All these games have re-playability, at the time, great graphics, good story lines, and great main characters.

For pc games, I was a hardcore runescape addict for years (lol), also diablo 2 was mint, now playing WoW. And back in the day a Quake 3 mod called WFA blew me away, got me into gaming seriously

And dare I say it, I now also play CS
