Been bugging me for years....the Smurfs...communists?

So I thought about this all by my lonesome and after Googling (new verb) the issue, I'm not alone.

Remember the Smurfs?

Papa Smurf: Red hat (get it....red?)...leader of the Smurfs.

All other Smurfs: Everyone has their own role in the community which contribute to society.

No one smurf is richer than the other.

Brainy always has ideas that resemble capitalism and always gets tossed out of the village.

Gargamel constantly tries to capture the Smurfs and turn them into gold. Capitalism preying on other societies?

Smurfette was Gargamel's idea. She was black haired when he made her (evil). When the Smurfs turned her and she joined the community, she became fair haired (pure)...capitalism=evil, communism=pure.

I heard a rumor that Peyo (the artist) was once banned from entering the States due to his strong, communist views...of course, it WAS a rumor.

I also read that "Smurfs" stands for Socialist Men Under a Red Father. Of course, AC/DC stands for Anti-Christ/Devil's Children also...

So what's your take?

Yeah, I thought it was pretty obvious they were a cartoon manifestation of a communist society. Wish it still played here.

I know it's fun to smoke weed and watch cartoons, but damn, you're taking this way too seriously.

Well even if they are communists, is that a bad thing, I mean communism in principal is a great way of living in theory, but sadly its wide open to corruption as we have seen over the years.

However politics isnt allowed here

i was like 6, i didnt even know what communism was

good for you.

It might be the reason why smurfs sucks so much.
