Hopefully they let you. I hear those fuckers are hurting so bad for recruits that they are extending most of the duties of current troops.

i would love to know what is the average wage of a soldier.the thing is they get paid 4 all sorts of things.so what would the average soldier get paid per year on average?i bet it isnt as much as a fire man.and i think its gay that a us citizen can join the army at a certain age but cant smoke or drink till he is 21.WTF!you can chose to die by some1 elses hand before you can chose to kill yourself.

DOD and Naval politicians are trying to close down Graton Sub base as we speak, I keep a close on on this situation because I live in MA about an hour away... closings always severly effect the local economy!

i'm referring to the fact that they do this stuff with out warning and i get dragged along with it. and noone in the large bulk of the navy can do anything about it. i would at least like some warning. for instance in school we came in and the instructors were suddenly gone and replaced by computers.

if i had strings they would be tangled because of all the sharp turns the navy is taking today.

that is any service in any country, unless you become a puppetier you will always be a puppet, I didn't have many bosses in my job, basically only the c/o there were plenty of people (officers) that outranked me on base but I had more authority then 95% of them, I took orders from 2 people my c/p SMCPO Gettison and the C/O of the base even an admiral has to answer to the president so I guess the lesson I am trying to teach here is no matter who you are whether your in the service or not there is ALWAYS someone that has the power to pull your strings!

before i joined the navy i pulled the strings, being the asst. manager of a dairy queen, and a supervisor at the olive garden and also a supervisor on a construction site. so i guess im just not used to it.

Not me....but my kid is a Marine Corps grunt.....hey romeo foxtrot...not sure if you remember me, but we posted to each other when he was getting ready to go into Fallujah. Well...he made it through ok. Got hit twice but neither time was too bad, shrapnel in his hands and arm. Never had to leave his unit though. Anyways, you had expressed an interst so I thought i'd just update.

@ phoenix... armed forces leadership is very diff from being the manager at DQ. even at DQ you could talk back to your manager and even say fuck it if you wanted to quit...the military has this thing called a 2 -4 year contract and will make your life a living hell if you dont respect your leaders...but it is not too hard to make rank (depends on your MOS) and be a manager at DQ, (military style) again!
