The Sabres are my favorite team, too bad they are in a definite rebuilding phase... although they are currently playing well and making a run at the last playoff spot in the East. I'm also a Red Wings fan too.

agreed, datsyuk is one crazy muh fucka, but detroit has sketchy goaltending now... once they lose hull and yzerman (best captain in sports history) , the team is done.

Red Wings

I wish to christ the leafs would win this year, but lets be honest folks, toronto can't play with the big boys like NJ and Philly. I hate Bobby Clark, but he has put together a good team in Philedelphia. If I were to say which team from the west would do it, its gonna be Vancouver, they are just too damn good with naslund, Bertuzzi, the sedin twins, Morrison and Sopel. I can't support detriot or colorado, cause of their extremely suspect goaltending. IN the end, as long as that fucker Daniel Alfredson and his Ottawa senators don't win, I'm happy...fucking pussy

Vancouver lost a tough one last night... winning 3 to 1 with 5 minutes left and loosing in OT...Ouch!

There's a lot of talk about Mike Richter's # being retired tonight by the Rangers. I don't have a problem with his number being retired, but now the talk to him going to the Hall of Fame? Thans BS! He was a better than average goalie but not a stand alone superstar. Anyone agree/disagree?

Richter was definitely not a superstar to anyone outside of NYC, of course, those in NYC seem to think everybody that plays there is a superstar... unless they have a bad game, then they suck obviously. Richter's only real claim to fame will be that he is the best American born goaltender.

I live in NY and I hear athletes being dubbed as a hero one night and a loser the next. Just because he won 1 (only 1 with the highest salary spending for 4 straight years) cup he seems to have become a icon for NY fans.

NYR fans might remember when the Devs were undefeated against them for 23 straight games (during Richter's tenure).

Richter sucked about as good as Kirk Mclean. I'd rather see Vanbeisbrouck in the HOF over Richter.

And back to the topic at hand. I want Vancouver to win it all. Oh glorious Canuckleheads. But realistically the team that wins will be the team with the hottest goalie. So I predict a NJ - Colorado final with Colorado in 7.
