i can't even begin to fathom how someone could be this ignorant it's baffling. Props to that kid though he showed more composure and intelligence than a "respected" attorney.

Every argument this twit makes against video games is ridiculous, yet some people actually take what he's saying as fact. He says whatever the hell he wants to and then when somebody points out the errors in his statements he says"not interested" or some other brilliant rebuttle.

now if you'll excuse me im gonna go "train" on Sim City to learn how to be tyrannical despot and wreak havoc over my subjects mwahaha

I'm not entirely convinced that set of exchanged e-mails is authentic...I've read a number articles by Jack Thompson before - and as ignorant and unknowledgeable as he is I highly doubt he'd resort to flaming a 14 year old through e-mail...it doesn't even strike me as his own tone that he usually has in articles.

If true however, he is perhaps one of the dumbest men on the planet.

No, of course not (mentioning WBW). However, it's a moot point since I just got MAILERDAEMON'd. The e-mail exchange with the 14 year old was posted two months ago, but as of today jackpeace@comcast.net seems to be invalid...

EDIT: It should also be said though that Jack Thompson does use the phrase "Not interested" when presented with well thought out arguments that dismantle his positions. So actually if these e-mails are legit I would be far more disgusted than surprised.

I must admit I'm slightly skeptical about the 14 year old thing. I have no doubt some kids that age can be as articulate and literate as he is, but only a few would go about challenging a lawyer about his point of view, no matter how flawed. My opinion.

That said, the debate was beautiful...

I dont see why the kid would lie about being 14. There would be no point. It seems that Mr Thompson already makes a big enough twat of himself without anyone needing to fabricate a story about him losing in a debate to a minor.
