Welcome! I quit riding motor bikes in HS when I came off a bridge and hit an oily gravel paved road. As the bike keeled over I did a skin peeler for about 100 feet. Managed to get up and head the bent up bike & my bleeding body homeward.
When I finally hit the front door, my wonderful mom greeted me in her own merciful, loving way:
"Get outa my house! You're bleeding all over my fucking carpet!!!" Somehow it just wasn't fun any more. Stuck to my cars after that. I drive a sports car & an SUV when I have to tote my professional stage gear in (one-man band & prof. singer/musician/entertainer for 52 years now.. YIKERS!)
