Speaking of average everyday passengercars :
If I could get a car with the driveability of a Peugeot, the reliability of a Toyota, the front seats and safety of a Volvo and the overall build quality and refinement of an Audi I could finally be happy with my personal transport.
It's impossible to name one country or region as the ultimate car maker.
As for sports cars, I would have to say British or Italian. Tough choice between those two, actually. Then again, when operating with a restricted budget you probably get more car for your money by buying a Porche than from anything produced in either of the forementioned countries. Seems like this one is going to go unresolved as well...
