In order of their purchase:
1st car ever: 1969 Pontiac Firebird. Red w/ white vinyl top. V8 and three speed on the floor. Totaled when some doosh ran a stoplight and t-boned me.
2. 1962 International Pick Up Truck. White, 6cyl, three on the tree. An absolute tank. I used to run over rows of trees with it and it would not dent. (trees w/ two or three inch trunks)
3. 1970 Toyota Corona 4door. A white box shaped little car. Had a strong stereo though. Good party car. Chics did not dig it.
4. 1972 Fiat 124 Spider. 4cyl w/ 5 speed. Canary yellow with a black convertible top. Blaupunkt stereo. The most fun car(s)(see #5) I have ever owned. Corners like no other. Chics dug it. Picture me with my long blonde hair blowing in the wind with a Frisbee strapped to the luggage rack on the trunk. (Go ahead picture it, it doesn't make you ghey) I enjoyed this car so much I completely used it up, sold it to a salvage yard and bought car number 5.
5. 1972 Fiat 124 Spider. 4cyl w/ 5 speed. Red with a black convertible top. Same Blaupunkt stereo. Same fun. Different chics.
5a. 1971 Fiat 124 Spider. Maroon w black top. I used it for parts and threw wrenchs at it when I was working on car #5.
Between 5 and 6 I drove company trucks and didn't need a car.
6. 1991 Ford Explorer. It blowed up. Sold to salvage.
7. 1998 Chevy Tahoe. Black w/Tan leather and Vortec V8. Still have it. It's still pretty cherry. It spends alot of time in the driveway because of the price of gas.
8. 2001 Toyota Corolla. Silver, 4cyl auto. The daily driver and gas saver.
I wanna nother sports car.
Here's a picture of a much newer Fiat (Pinafarina) Spider. The body has not changed at all since I had mine.

Proud to say, ONLY American cars, for good or bad, the designs sit right with me. Current models sadly are VERY uninspired. Remember the 50s and 60s cars?? How those loosely translated to 70s and 80s models? In the USA, where cars are king, we now copy all the bland Japanese tastes and others. I love exotics, don't get me wrong there, but outside of the expensive Corvette, Cadillac and the more affordable Mustang, there isn't much that looks like you want to drive it.
I started on the family hand-me-down, which took all the learning abuse: Plymouth Horizon!! Never again! Bought my first car after much looking and pleading with my dad, the needed co-signer!
It became a brown-ish with matching velour interior, 1982 Cutlass Brougham... a classic to this day. After connecting rod broke enroute! Not fun at all!.. I bought a dark tan 1982 Brougham yet again, sadly lacking in factory sunroof but still great. I graduated to 1984 Eldorado Biarritz in black with red leather, adorned with stainless steel roofcap and again, factory sunroof. (AstroRoof)... I love these cars but repairs and problems kept me moving to another ride..
I came upon my current rides; 1989 Convertible Firebird Formula... Never heard of one? There were only 300 odd verts produced in 89! Of that number, only about 50 to 60 had 350 Tuned Port V8s, handed down from the earlier 1986 Corvettes. That car has suffered wear in the extreme but I keep it around so far. Bought another to weather the downtime to fix, then had to fix it... My current ride, a second 1988 Sedan Deville off eBay for $525 total! That's until I had to fix the transmission, again bought from eBay and shipped to my state for $400... $950 total repair there... Several other things since and it still needs minor work, but it has a colorful history of it's own... having trekked across the country by previous owners in my state who bought it off eBay in NJ IIRC!! haha

I want to add with regard to the last of the downsized 1980s Devilles, the 1988 model had most standard features added before 10 inches were added to that model's wheelbase... AnyWHO, I came across a photoshop treatment, or something someone came up with for a custom version... saved it and printed it to put on my Fridge. The car was lowered, added pimp styling rims to it, took off all trim and doorhandles and locks as well (Solnoids likely used), painted the bumper fascias to match the body and added four window visors! It looks unlike anything I've seen anywhere and if money were no object, I'd get someone to make my own up that way! These are neat project cars I wish would last as long as those 70s 'boats' (affectionate terminology coming from a Cad Lover)
