everybody just has different tastes. it seems to be common place to like cars that are imports to your home country.
Being in the US, I'm not a fan of domestics, Just don't really like the styles. I drive an Acura, and have driven and owned a few domestics. But I consider myself an auto enthusiast...I gave that vette a 7, based on the fact that it is a wicked powerful car, and it's a high/higher class domestic. The newer vettes, i believe the z06's look way meaner. (not really a vette fan, sorry if z06 is incorrect.)

(sleep) Maybe they rated it like that cos they'd tried driving it
