I need some help or should i say advice. My car is in dire straits here. My car wont do the reverse gear (it an automatic) very well and when i put it in reverse and try to go it wont go it will just stay there and not really go at all. When i am on an incline it will go into reverse and do fine then, but only on a flat surface it will not do right. It has been suggested that the transmission might be flooded or i might need to buy a used one. Any suggestions or estimates on cost. I have not had major any problems with this car so far so any help would be appreicated.

And on a side note this morning as i was leaving a parking lot i put the car in gear with the brake still up and tried to go with it for about less than 10 secs and then realized the darn thing was up would this cause any problems?

gonna need some tranny service. can be quite costly. 1000 - 2000$ depending on what it needs. but if they have to open it then obviously its gonna be on the pricier side.

Now i my car is doing wierd. I had the overdrive on accidently and pushed it to off and now my reverse is working i think. Now i will just take her to the garage and get the automatic transmission fluid checked and see if that needs changing and then see if the major work needs to be done. Cuz right now the reverse was working (i think) when i tried it out twice this afternoon after work

Sounds like you're going to end up spending more than the car is worth.

It would just stretch/put stress on the cable that connects your ebrake handle to the rear brakes, won't really do anything for ten seconds but don't make a habit of it.
