What a way to screw up a weekend
Also, dude should have tried a tire iron, although this way is more interesting

a tire iron wouldn't have helped, because he snapped the studs off... i guess it was just too mutch power...Quote:

Exactly. But that's cause the Ford won't start.

On airplanes we can't change tires while they are inflated. Wheels are split rims with tie bolts keeping the halves together. That and about 240psi in the carcus.

Just an observation here. If that is a gm rearend and it appears to be one, they would be 7/16 studs not 1/2.

thank's to the aftermarket you can get what you want... i have a 12 bolt chevy with 5/8 studs and c-clip eliminators... there are 4 guys i know running a 8.5 10 bolt with 1/2 inch studs... you have mark williams axles, strange enginering, moser axles and dutchman axles to name a few...just google them and go to their websites... they have killer parts, but no matter how good the part, sometimes you push things to hard... when i spray this year, even though i have 5/8 studs, it's still a 12 bolt.... if i gernade it, it'll be real expensive for me to scrap it and go with a fab 9 nine inch...i already have about 2200.00 into this rear end...Quote:

even though these cars look stock their not... if you have seen the pics of my car, you'll see that it has stock wheelwells, 28+10.5 tires.. stock frame, leaf springs, stock front clip, all steel with a glass hood... it has lights, turn signals and is plated and insured... it passes any safty checks... i drove it on the street last year and i didn't get any tickets...it has a 12 bolt with 5/8 studs, c-clip eliminators, a spool anr 3.73 gears.. the trans is a th-400 with a reverse pattern, and a trans break... the engine is a 540 with 2 nos, systems... the engine made over 870 h.p. on motor alone... that's where you break parts... trying to make everything look somewhat stock and still make over 1000 h.p. ... in case you haven't seen my car, here is a pic....Quote:

i'm sorry if i come off as a asshole, but me and my friends try making our cars look somewhat stock... that's half the fun of it... making something stock looking go fast... no killer paint jobs, no ladder bars or 4 link suspensions, or foreward facing hood scoops... these cars are a handfull sometimes, and that's half of the fun of it... you never know what to expect... i also posted wheelie gone wrong if you want to see some bad wheelie stuff... this is my friend kieths car... i also posted a video of a mustang with a small block chevy that flipped on it's side... i'll go broke trying to fund this stuff, but i'll go broke having fun... also, a lot of the race car pics that i post i know, or their on sites that i'm on and they send me pics because i ask them for the pics for this site...Quote:
