The Return of the Lamborghini Miura

The House of the Raging Bull brings back a legendary name from the company’s past with the Lamborghini Miura Concept.

The Lamborghini Miura Concept will be the first Lamborghini vehicle to be conjured from the talented pen of Walter de’ Silva, Head of Lamborghini Design. de’ Silva’s other design responsibilities include
serving as Head of Design of Audi Group. The talented designer’s idea for the new concept was simple: a retro-inspired look heralding back to one of the auto world’s most famous icons, the legendary Miura.

Lamborghini anxiously begins the New Year with the highly anticipated unveiling of the Lamborghini Miura Concept, a modern interpretation of the Lamborghini Miura. Currently celebrating its 40th Anniversary, the Miura was originally designed by Marcello Gandini and was first publicly presented at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show by Ferruccio Lamborghini and Nuccio Bertone.

To this day, the Miura remains one of the most beautiful cars ever created.

The Miura's one of my favourite cars of all time - when I was a teenager it was always a tough call between the Miura and the BB512 for which would get me drooling most. I like the reinterpretation from the front, but I'm not at all sure about the grille-thing on the back... If it's like other Lambos of recent years (e.g the Murcielago) then the specs will probably be insane, along with the price.

Looking forward to seeing more on this, even if only for intellectual interest (I have as much chance of ever driving one of these as I do of dating Rachel Weisz).

That's the common problem with big men like us. I can't drive properly in little japs or italians. German cars has always great space and good driving without problems.
