The New Jaguar Concept Car! The C-XF

Its fucking gorgeous, lets hope they put it into production!

Im not a big car expert and its not that wouldn't love to drive or even ovn one. But it still think it looks like a BMW or Mercedes with a Jaguar front..

Its sexier than any bmw's at the moment, i mean the M5 is just plain ugly, and dont even get me started on the total turd that is the x3, or the x5!!
As for mercs, they are far too distinctive!

It is a brave move by Jag, as it really doesnt take anything form previous jags, but then neither did the E type when that was desingned!!

Might be right. I don't spend much time studying car design. Just thought of some of those brand new once I see sometimes flying down the Autobahn. Those brand new top class Mercedes..

Well isn't that kind of the point!? Its a new consept, not a new E-class.
Its the brave moves that have made them what they are today, so that is what I would expect from a manufaturer of cars in that class!

It just they spent so long from the 80's, to the late 90's making the same "safe format" looking cars!
(apart from the xj220 of course!) Its only in the 00's that they have decided to break the rules?!

I guess that to a serten extend goes for just about all the major names in that periode...

Well lets just hope it goes into production (not that i would ever be able to afford one!!) and that other car manufacturers stand up and get inspiration from this stunning machine!

from what i read about it is that the conservative company that jaguar always was will set an example for al the other luxury cars in the future...

the designer (Ian Callum i think) was responsible for the Vanquish, DB9 and the Jag XK8 hence the family resembelence. The car is going into production (should be out in 2008) and is replacing the S-Type. Rumour has it that they have had to cut costs and will use the S-Type platform for it which has a few restrictions but will aparently still drive well.

certainly a large step in the right direction for Jag I think!!
