Two different options here. 1st, 1979 Trans-Am. Ponitaic built a version (with all of the flares, etc.) that had a hatchback that looked like a small station wagon.
Second possibility. The 1989 Trans-Am GTA brochure and order form initially offered an option where the large bubble glass was replaced with a knotch-back trunk lid or the station wagon style (Kammback). They pulled the option before any were sent to the dealerships though. So all three of these versions were never sold to the public.
As for the Can-Am, that was a Pontiac Le Mans option in the mid to late 70's. They were white with red/orange stripes, louvered hood scoops & a spoiler. You can still find these on occasion at car shows and sometimes (but rare) on the street...although it has been a couple of years since I have seen one.
All three attached photos are of actual GM prototypes. Not custom or aftermarket stuff...
