i can corner tighter and faster with my RWD jeep wrangler than most civic type-r with all their stickers and glue. owned it for 4 years now.
Well rwd is the american standard and be built faster and cheeper in a bigger car, europe has narrower roads etc so the build smaller cars, hench fwd give me a rwd any day, you can hang the ass out on a turn and use power to get it back. It should be considered that all the major racing circuts use rwd cars(I know execpt rally).
Proud owned of a RWD 240SX right here.
AWD for life baby.
I own a 2001 Tommy Kaira tuned R (r34 skyline) and after driving AWD, RWD is dull.
AWD is the cool and probably the way of the future. But you gotta love those old, overpowered, two door RWD cars from the 70's and 80's. Nothing will ever come close to cars from this time ...
"the fastest way around the track is RWD."
It's all about application. RWD=Power off the line FWD=Intricate cornering along with maintaining direction AWD=both of the former and a hell of a lot more traction in the dirt.(hence Rally application)
