I have a 93 prelude, and the battery died.. after I got it running again the radio now display's 'code', which is of course honda's anti-theft solution. I couldn't find the code so browsing the internet I found you could call the dealer and get the code. I called the honda dealer and they told me the car was too old and they wouldn't be able to get the code for me because the information isn't in the system anymore... any other options for getting the phantom code?

Hmm, I can't help you with that, but for your future Honda issues you really should turn to some forum where people know something about Honda's.

They could have gotten the code for you with a simple phone call. Seems to be horrible customer relations. I guess I would be mad too for not getting a dime from you for the past 16 years. At least you found a car that last that long

honda must have it.. phone them again and give your engen and vin number of the car to them. they must not talk shit to you!! otherwise, rip the radio out and put a new cd player in!

New radio, if they dont give you the code!
They should have a "stock" universal code that they all use for the exact reason you have, so keep bugging them!
