Looking to polish the frame? hmm, i dunno if i'd take that task on myself, there's bound to be spots that would be hard to reach.
Unless you're planning on stripping the bike apart and working with the bare frame. If that's the case I would look into aircraft remover to remove the factory black coating and then some automotive polishers and compounds to get the look i'm assuming you're going for. Right now I'm thinking it'll be a long process, but hey you have 6 months.

p.s. I was on house arrest myself once, but only for three months. And it was during the summer. I caught up on alot of television, had friends rent at Blockbuster for me, and worked out as much as could within the limits of the house. Good idea to keep busy!

The question is what didn't I do. I live in the florida keys. 1 road in and 1 road out. Lets say I never made it to the mainland before I ran out of gas. I was close but not close enough.

what kind of metal is the frame made out of? if its steel you cant make it look like chrome with out tons of work and usless work after a day or two when it rusts ... then if you clear coat it the shiny goes away. unless you buy some mirra chrome paint or chrome plate it... if its stainless steel, or aluminum then you can polish it

Get some pics up of your progress! Polished frames can look nuts.
