Due to circumstances beyond my control, my old 106 Aztec recently had its life ended, so I'm looking into buying a replacement.
There are currently 2 (second-hand) cars in the frame. They are both identical in price, but due to certain pros and cons for each, I'm unable to decide between them, so any help is welcome.
The 306 is better aesthetically, has a nicer interior, a larger (1.4) engine, an immobiliser, a driver's airbag and 5 forward gears. Unfortunately, it is more expensive to insure and, I assume as a result of the 1.4 engine, more expensive to run. It has also done about 100k miles.
The 106 is cheaper to insure and cheaper to run, but it only has 4 forward gears, and a 1.1 engine. The lighter body means the (non-power assisted) steering is slightly lighter than the 306. It has only done approx. 70k miles.
Any ideas, my better-educated friends?
Cheers.
