I have a mb slr. Its used and didnt come with the owners manual (130$!) It says slr on the dash. For the life of me I couldnt figure out the r. I made lots of guesses. But duh roadster. what a tard.

Mal - are you claiming that you own a Mercedes McLaren SLR..???? They cost £310k.

If your dash says SLR then the person who sold you it has a real sense of humour..!! If your

Very nice benz but I'm a family man now and my 401k, IRA, stocks and bonds are way more imp than Conspicuous Consumption purchases.

Nope. a 94 sl320 but the dash has engraved slr. And I see it referenced here and there as the slr. And it is an slr because it is a "roadster" which i learned from this thread. when buying parts it often is referred to as a roadster as well. So it makes sense.

Mclaren is a modificatin of a mercedes. Kinda like the Ruf porsche is a porsche which ruf modified. Mclaren took an sl and modified it and sold them.

Hmm front looks better then current model..back looks like no effort has been made....donlt like mercs much any ways

On a slightly unrelated note. Take a regular porsche 911, say a 75. yank the engine and send it and 15,000.00 to Ruf and they will send you back a twin turbo 500 hp monster.
